The family reunion

The family - We spent the first week in August in Frisco, CO with Dan's family. There were 25 of us that stayed in one house.

The house - It was located just a short walk from the downtown, just across from the mountains and next to a stream. It was beautiful and had room for all of us to sleep....even though it was a little uncomfortable for a couple of the "kids".

It was good fun to even have all of "us" together for the week. Dan's family tries to have a reunion every 2 years but this was the first year that everyone plus a couple boyfriends were able to attend. Max and Blake had a great time playing around with their brothers and cousins.

Pierce was one of those "special" boyfriends that came to the vacation! They have been together over 4 years and we are happy that he was able to make it.

Just thought that this was a pretty good picture of us. This was on the last night when we finally got everyone dressed up for the last dinner together.

Blake was always "hamming" it up for someone and loved the attention.

If you can't tell from the pictures, Max lost his 3rd tooth on vacation. One of his cousins bet him a $1 to pull it out. Max is always afraid to pull them out so they either are "accidentally" pulled out by Blake or fall out from eating. This time, Max just took a bite of a peach and it fell out! He was so excited for that money. They have been working on a chore list the last couple of weeks and offered to make beds for $.25. The older kids loved this and had a great way to get rid of those coins.

There were so many things to do in CO.

A big group of us took a tour of a gold mine and went panning for gold.

Blake loved this!...and some of Dan's family would have stayed here all day!

Another group went horseback riding.

There was a lot of card playing. Max loved this!!

Max showed everyone that he could how he learned to "pump" all by himself.

Dan did a good amount of fishing...and I got to do a bit of shopping too!

Austin got to help Blake fish.

We spent a lot of time just relaxing and catching up. It was a good week. I was actually able to see my sister and brother during that week too. I'll have to include that in the next post.

The 2011 reunion is already planned for Hawaii!...Right Carrie?! Dan's niece, Carrie, got engaged a few days before the reunion. They have been together for 7 or 8 years so Will has been a part of the family for awhile. We were working on them planning their wedding for summer of 2011!
